Abstract

Transformational leadership has gained increasing attention as one of the effective leadership styles in the face of complexity and change in the business environment. This study aims to investigate the role of transformational leadership in driving organizational innovation and creating competitive advantage. In a corporate context, we collected data from 100 team members, including managers, technical staff, and innovation-related departments. The data were analyzed using path analysis techniques to examine the relationship between the variables involved. The results of path analysis show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on the level of organizational innovation. Leaders who adopt a transformational leadership style are able to inspire and motivate team members to innovate, creating a work environment that encourages creativity and new ideas. Furthermore, organizational innovation also has a positive and significant influence on the level of competitive advantage of companies in a competitive market. Successful innovation can provide a distinct competitive advantage for the company, differentiating it from competitors in the market. In addition, the results of the path analysis also show that most of the effect of transformational leadership on the firm's competitive advantage is explained through its effect on the level of organizational innovation. In other words, transformational leadership impacts competitive advantage through increasing organizational innovation.
